Registrations Open for La Thuile Trail 2026

Registrations for the La Thuile Trail 2026 are officially open, the mountain running event that each year attracts almost 1,000 trail runners to the mountains of La Thuile and the Aosta Valley. The 2026 edition, scheduled for 25 July, will be particularly special: La Thuile Trail will celebrate its tenth edition, marked by the introduction of an exciting new race distance.

A New Distance: Introducing the 10 km Short Trail

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, La Thuile Trail is expanding its program with an exciting new addition. From 2026, the event will feature a 10km Short Trail, joining the well-established 25 km, 43 km, and 70 km races.

The new distance is not only a symbolic nod to the event’s ten-year history, but also a concrete opportunity to expand the offer and attract a wider audience. With 10km and nearly 650 m of positive elevation, the Short Trail is designed for those who prefer shorter distances and for anyone who wants to experience the unique atmosphere of the event in a more accessible format.

The Short Trail Course

The new 10km course, limited to 200 participants, starts in the town center and follows the first 6 km of the 25 km route. The climb reaches 2,000 m at the Plan Praz fort, a panoramic viewpoint offering spectacular views of some of the Alps’ giants: Mont Blanc, the Grandes Jorasses, and Grand Assaly. From there, the course descends back to the finish line in La Thuile. The route is mainly on single track, with some dirt road sections and short paved stretches near the finish.

The three historic races of La Thuile Trail will also be confirmed for 2026 with the following programme:

Loyalty Reward – 10% Discount for 2025 Finishers

All finishers of La Thuile Trail 2025 will receive a 10% discount on their registration for any of the four races in 2026.

This initiative is a way to thank the athletes who return year after year to La Thuile, bringing with them the spirit, passion, and energy that make our trails come alive.

ASICS Confirmed as Main Sponsor for the Second Consecutive Year

For 2026, La Thuile Trail will once again count on the support of ASICS, confirming its role as Main Sponsor for the second consecutive year. This important partnership was established with the shared goal of strengthening an event that brings together sport, the local territory, and a deep focus on the quality of the athlete experience. ASICS’ continued presence underscores the growing prestige of La Thuile Trail and its ability to attract an increasingly international field of participants.

DEBRA Family Renewed as Official Charity

This year, La Thuile Trail also confirms its social commitment by renewing its collaboration with DEBRA Family as the official charity of the event. The association, active since 2004, is dedicated to supporting children and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa, the rare condition known as “Butterfly Children.”

La Thuile Trail will donate a portion of the event proceeds to DEBRA Family, and participants will have the opportunity to make a difference through a voluntary donation at registration.
