The Thuile Trail Challenge

Register online, collect your GPS tracker and enjoy the 25km La Thuile Trail. All completely free!

From 1st to 31st August 
The La Thuile Trail presents a new initiative for the entire month of August.
From 1st to 31st August all mountain and trail running enthusiasts will be able to compete on the 25km and 1500 D + race path.

The goal will be  to know the trails and enjoy a day of outdoor sports, alone or in company. The La Thuile Trail Challenge is not a competitive race or event.

How to participate: 
1. Sign up via the link
2. Select the date you intend to run on the course
3. Select the GPS tracker pick-up time, not after 2.00 pm
4. Download
  the GPX track  and upload it  on your GPS device (watch or other)
5. Go
  at the Reception of the Hotel Chalet Eden, Villlaret 74, 11016 La Thuile to collect the tracker. An identity document and a deposit of 20 € will be required.
6. Go
  at the starting point in Piazza Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto and active  the tracker upon departure
7. Once the lap is finished, the GPS tracker stops automatically.
8. Return
  the GPS tracker at the Hotel Chalet Eden no later than 20.00, retrieving the identity document and the € 20 deposit.

Study the route and use the GPX track! 
Along the route there are arrows and green "stamps" with the words "LTT", but it is strongly recommended to study the route before setting off and to use a GPS device (watch) on which to load the GPX track to follow, available on the site.


Altra shoes - to be tested and won as a prize 
Our sponsor Altra, which also supports this initiative, will provide several pairs of trail running shoes to try on the course and 10 pairs of new shoes to win through the Instagram contest!


Instagram contest 
The best photos or videos (posts) will win multiple prizes, including a pair of Altra trail running shoes and two free trail entries for next year.


To participate in the contest: 
1. Publish an Instagram post (photo or video) along the La Thuile Trail
2. Use the hashtags #lathuiletrail and #LTTChallenge and tag @lathuiletrail
3. Make sure you follow @lathuiletrail and @altrarunning_europe on Instagram

Non-competitive event in complete autonomy 
We also remind you that this is a non-competitive event, therefore a ranking will not be drawn up in order of time and there is no prize (other than glory) for the fastest athletes.
As per regulation, it is essential to check the weather before going on the trail, make sure you have all the necessary equipment to spend several hours in the high mountains, even in extreme conditions.

It is an individual and autonomous training, without any assistance or responsibility from the organization of the La Thuile Trail. Finally, there are no refreshment points or water points along the route.

The ASPerT association offers children with disabilities or with socio-economic problems sport as a tool to gain confidence in their abilities and grow on a personal level!
